Was just hearing The Scientist by Coldplay.
Oh fuck...!!!!!
One of the reasons why music is not just sound or a bunch of notes and chords but much more than that .
The song has a hummable melody, the structure is not too complex,the drums and guitars are simple yet equally significant,the lyrics are not too out there yet they convey so much more than what one reads off the internet or the album cover.
It surely is not a rock anthem,and that's probably not even what it's meant to be,that's what makes it what it is.
How wonderful is it when you just don't listen to the song but actually Hear it. Experience it.When the song becomes a part of you because it conjures up memories within you that you knew always existed but never thought about it unless something comes along and forces you to go back and trace back those memories. Don't know why but this song reminds me of this Jim Carrey movie "The Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind".
When you think about how your life was and how your life should have been,and suddenly you open your eyes and snap out of it.....

FACT # 1

Well i just realized that i didn't write anything in the month of March which is sad because i broke my streak (i had at least 1 post for every month since i started blogging) so i will have to compensate for it.
Still don't have much to write about
*We didn't go for manipal fest :(
*College is almost over :(

Life's been alright,thinking about stuff,loads of stuff,have been having self doubts,realizing stuff,trying to figure out where i stand,where i belong....followed by loads of whats.hows,whys and whens have been orbiting my head like unstable electrons.
I always thought life was like this big puzzle like the ones we used to make when we were around 3 or 5 yrs old...i still think so,but the difference is that, now,some of the pieces seem to be lost and misplaced.
Only if i could find them somehow,only if....i could complete my puzzle.....only if...

i realize i am just uselessly ranting as usual and being as random as ever but cant help it...
i am pretty sure nobody reads this shit no more (not that people used to read it earlier )

well from the time i wrote my last post, its been pretty much the same...life's is boring...n ya campus rock idols was a good experience(we reached the regionals,didn't make it through the zonals though)..and we might go for manipal fest..lets see
february came and went like that (...zappp )
well just some more random shit then
* Slumdog millionaire, the movie got 8 oscars (total of around 108 awards till now)
*Dev D was an absolute treat to watch,what an excellent movie and the music was mindblowing too
* Went to South Asian Bands festival '09 and saw agnee perform live which was simply awesome
* College is almost over (no sign of internship,post graduation or the most awaited trip to Goa)
* Life is Random,confusing,boring and more boring (i have mentioned that earlier too, i guess )

its going to be a busy day ( can be pretty lousy considering the track record of events in my life )
* there is this audition for this rock competition (campus rock idols) and its 8 am in the morning somewhere in north campus ,not too sure about the location and we aren't even prepared for it.
* there is an interview followed by that in okhla, related to advertising n all that,don't know where that is too.
* then there is my friends birthday party which i am not too sure if i will be able to make up.

lets see how tomorrow unfolds

2009....Whats the Big Deal ....!!!!!

Another year gone by...and things are still the same.Sometimes i don't get it, Whats the concept behind celebrating an year gone by and another new year which lies ahead of us...Its not like a new start or a new beginning to life...its continuing the same old life...doing the grind everyday...facing old situations, consequences,people...i mean everything is exactly the same except the date may be....

I am not being pessimistic or cynical here but i don't see no practical reason behind celebrating the new year except maybe as an excuse to party.
Its that time of the year where lots of people make resolutions to make their lives a little better...which 99% are unrealistic hence are forgotten and remain unfulfilled.All predictions,horoscopes,tarrot cards related business gets a major boom but after all this guess what, your life still remains the same(.....surprise....!!!!!!)

The new year only indicates that its time for the republic day parade again,valentines day again,birthdays again,summers, monsoon, winters again and before you know it you are either six feet under or blown away to ashes.

Accept it or stay in a Fool's Paradise forever....

Its almost the end of 2008....Another year gone by...exams are over (college is almost over too).
Dont really know if 2008 was good or bad for me...but i guess it was not as eventful and awesome as i wanted it to be anyways there is always a 2009. Things that need to be done

* party and get sloshed on 31st
* figure out my internship again (hope i can go to bombay this time )
* figure out post grad stuff
* figure out what to do next in life
* finally get a girlfriend after millions of years of loneliness and desperation ...lolz
* play and compose better music in future (god, i must learn to play solos and leads this year )
and many more things which are not coming to my mind right now (i am so random)

as of now nothing else to write ... will catch you soon

hmmmmm # 1

well from where i left the last time...did'nt go to the jethro tull concert due to lack of finances (damn...cant believe i missed out on a life time opportunity) ,the so called dance performance got cancelled becauze of the mumbai terror attacks,exams around te corner (haver to clear my pol Sc back this time) doesnt seem like i will clear my GRE....ne ways life goes on...

Apart from that nothing new...

God i am boring..... :P

well guys....i should be punished for ignoring my fans/followers..but i am really sorry about it...n sincere apologies for the same.
i have been busy and exhausted for a lil while now...its not like my band is touring across the world n i have no time on me but i am getting there....My Band "Bridge to Elsewhere" has become 2 and a half month year old and we have played in LSR college (it was awesome) and in DCAC (it kinda sucked ) as of now but will hopefully have more shows/gigs to play and we might just get better at it too,who knows ???.... by that i mean we would start getting payed or something...n it goes without saying that the chicks are crazy after me

so apart from that exams are around the corner...jethro tull concert happening on the 30th...got my dance performance on 4th... GRE classes going on....

.....Well October witnessed only one post..but November should cover up for it (fingers crossed).It's post diwali and the winters are almost here but what about the things that go with it...the sutta (in permitted places only :P), the bread omele,not to forget the gig season which is here...that reminds me my band n me are playing at the lsr college on the 8th of this month...be there.....Please please please....

Late @ Nyt

Believe you me, there is something truly mystical and magical about the "Night time"....dunno exactly what is it that makes it so...but something certainly makes me feel so...By Nightime i am actually refering to the 1 a.m. and beyond (til 4:30 a.m. or so)....May be its the silence that makes you at peace with yourself...as this time makes you think about yourself and the things around you which you can never get to do during daytime...Lazy Sunday Afternoons being no exception to this...The daily hustle bustle and noise just drowns down the things which truly matter to you and at night these things just instantaneously pop up just like the pop ups in your comp.
Its a different matter all together if you are a morning person or if you sleep at 10.00 p.m. sharp everyday and plan to do so for the rest of your life.

One might argue that (in majority) its the daytime when most of the daily activities take place, like going to office/college/school,hanging around with friends,going on dates,etc...but my point being its actually the night which makes us remember and cherish all these memories and experiences...night is the time when we think about these same situations which often brings a tear. a sigh or mostly smile on our face.

Night time also has beautiful and unique memories of its own kind like secretly smoking in the bathroom,watching movies at night (both adult/regular),late night senti talks with your girlfriend/boyfriend and the list is endless.....

all these memories have their own special charm

At a certain level its beyond words and has to be just felt...
